Our Story
Founded in 2018 in Cluj-Napoca, EcoRomania began with a simple mission: to make sustainable living accessible to everyone in Romania. Our journey started when our founders, a group of environmental scientists and business experts, noticed the growing ecological crisis and the lack of easily available eco-friendly alternatives in the Romanian market.
What began as a small operation selling bamboo toothbrushes and reusable bags at local markets has now grown into a comprehensive online store offering dozens of sustainable products that help reduce waste and environmental impact. Throughout our growth, we've maintained our core values of sustainability, quality, transparency, and community engagement.

With a background in Environmental Science from the University of Bucharest, Elena leads our company vision and strategy. She's passionate about sustainable business models and has been featured in numerous publications for her work in environmental advocacy.
Maria Ionescu
Co-Founder & Product Director
Maria oversees our product selection and development with a keen eye for quality and sustainability. With her background in product design and zero-waste living, she ensures all our products meet strict environmental and ethical standards.
Alexandru Munteanu
Operations Manager
Alex manages our logistics and operations, ensuring our eco-friendly practices extend to our shipping, packaging, and warehouse operations. He's implemented innovative solutions to minimize our carbon footprint across the business.
Cristina Dumitrescu
Marketing & Community Manager
Cristina heads our marketing and community outreach efforts. With her background in digital marketing and environmental communication, she's passionate about spreading awareness of sustainable living practices throughout Romania.
Mihai Stanescu
Sustainability Advisor
With a PhD in Environmental Management, Mihai provides expert guidance on our sustainability practices and product selection. He conducts research to ensure we stay at the forefront of eco-friendly innovations and ethical business practices.
